Travel Photo Book Ideas for Mini Adventures
Mini-adventures - road trips, weekend getaways, and staycations - are great opportunities to create memories with the people you care about the most. You can commemorate all that fun in a custom travel photo book that highlights all the fun you had using these creative ideas.
Road Trip Photo Book Ideas
Hitting the open road with your favorite people is certainly cause for putting together a road trip memory book. You can make yours even more special by using these tips.
#1. Create a Page for All the Key Players
On the first page of your book, put pictures, and caption them with names and roles. For example, "Dad: Lead driver, radio station decider and boss of pit stops" or "Mom: Head navigator, snack carrier and one-woman cleanup crew" can be fabulous content for your book's first page.
#2. Use Maps
Outline your journey with an image of your route or use maps as a full-page backgrounds to stick with your road trip theme. If you took special photos at a certain location, a quick snapshot of its map location is a fun added touch.

#3. Add Road Signs to Your Theme
Take photos of road signs all the way to - or from - your destination and create a page dedicated just to them. Make sure they're in trip order.

Photo Books for Quick Weekend Getaways
Even 48 hours away can be a fabulous opportunity to recharge and make some memories. Use these tips to create a book you'll enjoy for years.
#1. Use Creative, Adventurous Fonts
Big, fun fonts can communicate all the big fun you had on a weekend getaway - and they're especially important on the book's cover, which should include the name of the destination. You can choose a theme that matches the type of trip you took, such as one made for visits to National Parks or one that's beach-inspired.
#2. Include Your Itinerary
If you have a hand-written itinerary from your trip, that's great. Snap a picture of it and make it a full-page image in your book. If you don't, use a text block to type it in your book. Be as specific as you want; the more detail you include, the easier your getaway will be to remember later.

Staycation Photo Books
Sticking close to home can be a great adventure, and what better way to commemorate a staycation than with a custom photo book? Here are some staycation ideas to get your summer going. Any of these mini-vacations can be memorable photo books.
Check out these tips to put together an unforgettable timeline you'll love to look back on.
#1. Pick a Theme That Matches Your Adventures
Exploring your own city, camping close to home, or staying in your own neighborhood? Choose a city-themed photo book, a camping adventure photo book, or something simple and easy-to-fill with your own ideas.
#2. Group Photos by Subject
Some of the most visually appealing staycation photo books feature pictures grouped by subject. If you're an urban explorer, for example, you might be snapping shots of historic brick buildings in the city, gorgeous gardens, or boardwalk shops. Putting them all together in groups and including captions on each page can be a great way to relive the most special moments of your staycation.
#3. Record the Finer Details
Include a written summary of your staycation at the beginning (or end) of your photo book. It doesn't have to be in-depth - you can save the details for captions on photos if you're more comfortable doing it that way - but it can be as detailed as you'd like it to be.
